We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and dry plant machinery safely and efficiently.
- Fill bulk bags with sand and place them on pallets.
- Perform warehousing duties, including stacking bulk bags and picking orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Use basic hand tools to carry out minor repairs and maintenance on dry plant machinery.
- Perform low-frequency manual lifting of up to 15 kg.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift licence required.
- Demonstrated experience operating a forklift.
- Physically fit and able to remain on your feet for most of the shift, as this is not solely a forklift operating role.
- Able to read and write English to complete site inductions, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
and understand safety briefings.
- Must be able to wear a PPE respirator.
- Clean-shaven or able to maintain a close-shaven face to ensure a proper respirator seal.
- Respirator allowance of $1.00 per hour paid in addition to the hourly rate.
- Must weigh 120 kg or less to meet the forklift seat weight rating limit.
