About the Roles
Due to recently awarded contracts and a growing pipeline of work, we’re expanding our team and seeking Sheet Metal and Light Fabrication Trades people in Gympie. These are hands-on roles involving predominantly workshop-based work, with occasional site installations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
- Polishing and blending of stainless steel and aluminium components (highly regarded)
- Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
- Operating workshop equipment and hand tools while maintaining clean and safe working conditions
- Assisting with site installations as required
- Completing job documentation and contributing to quality control processes
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualified in a relevant trade (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication, Light Fabrication, or Sheet Metal)
- Minimum of 3 year's experience in a similar role
- Previous Leading Hand experience would be highly regarded
- Experience in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive attitude
- White Card, current driver’s licence, and Forklift Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
- Full working rights in Australia
