How You’ll Make a Difference
Working closely with the Logistics Team you will be tasked with various functions:
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery dockets and quality requirements before stock is accepted into inventory
- Ensure stock is stored, labelled and handled to prevent damage, contamination, loss or incorrect use
- Pick all job components accurately and have them available for production by the required timeframes
- Maintain stock locations to support efficient picking and stock control
- Coordinate logistics requirements with suppliers, freight providers, internal departments and customers to support timely movement of goods
- Communicate stock shortages, picking delays,
receiving issues and freight impacts to the relevant manager or stakeholder as soon as practicable
- Make day-to-day prioritisation decisions for receiving, shelving, picking and dispatch activities in line with production and customer requirements
About you
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing) or equivalent experience (highly regarded)
- Forklift Licence
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehousing/logistics role
- Intermediate PC skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A willingness to cross-train in other areas to support staff leave
- Team player
