About the role
Auststar Freight Distribution is seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team in Ulverstone, TAS 7315. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our logistics operations, ensuring that parcels and documents are delivered efficiently and safely to our customers. As a Courier Driver, you will be the face of our company, representing our commitment to excellent customer service and timely delivery. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation as a trusted freight distribution provider in the region.

What you'll be doing

- Collecting and delivering parcels, documents and freight to customers within assigned routes

- Operating your vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies

- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations

- Providing professional customer service, handling enquiries and resolving delivery issues promptly

- Inspecting your vehicle daily for mechanical issues and reporting any maintenance requirements

- Loading and unloading freight safely, using proper lifting techniques and equipment where necessary

- Planning efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity

- Communicating with management regarding delivery progress and any obstacles encountered

- Ensuring all packages are handled with care to prevent damage during transit





What we're looking for

- A valid Australian driver's licence

- National Police Check

- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst on the road

- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry parcels regularly

- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Reliability and punctuality, with a solid commitment to meeting delivery schedules

- Basic IT skills for recording deliveries and updating tracking systems

- A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction
