RAAFA is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchenhand to join our Food & Beverage team at the vibrant RAAFA Club located within Air Force Memorial Estate in Meadow Springs.

Working approximately 30 hours per fortnight , this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a busy hospitality environment while providing excellent service to our residents, members and guests.

Hours of work may include:

- Monday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
- Friday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

(Some flexibility may be required based on operational needs.)

The role and you:

- Wash and clean utensils and dishes and ensuring appropriate storage
- Handle, sort, store and distribute food items
- Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook food stuffs and assist with preparing salads and desserts
- Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling
- Organise laundering of kitchen linen
- Cleaning of all food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools and areas
- Delivering food to the Lodge at meal times
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision and to work under pressure
- Ability Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement principles




- Knowledge of Food Hygiene regulations
- Current training in Food Safe Programs

What you need to do:

Have a valid "C" Class (Manual) Drivers Licence;

Update your resume;

Be eligible to work in Australia;

Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;

Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations;
