Located only 30 minutes from Newcastle, Maitland Private maintains a community-focused feel, while being able to deliver high quality health services to the Maitland and Hunter Valley regions. The hospital encompasses 185 beds, 6 operating theatres, 10 bed ICU, with associated rehabilitation, medical and surgical Wards. Our services include two major medical centres, a dedicated mental health unit, an on-site cancer centre including radiation oncology, radiology practice and pathology laboratory.

Your new role as a new grad nurse:

Exciting opportunities available for highly motivated newly graduated Registered Nurse to join our New Grad Program!

Our Program:

Our Critical Care New Graduate Registered Nurse Program will commence on 8/2/2027 and will consist of a full-time 12-month fixed-term employment contract,



with a potential opportunity to apply for a permanent position at the conclusion of the new graduate program (if eligible). Opportunity will also exist to apply for a targeted program “Transition to Speciality Practice: ICU”.

About you (essential criteria):

- Completion of your Nursing Degree (Bachelor or Masters) prior to the commencement date.

- AHPRA registration prior to commencement.

- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.

- Immunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health

- Candidates must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role (Australian citizen, permanent resident, NZ resident or hold a valid visa with unrestricted permission to work). We are not offering Visa sponsorship on this occasion.

Desirable attributes:

- Previous undergraduate experience in hospital setting.

- Previous undergraduate placement in Critical Care environment.
