About the role
Pacific Furniture & Bedding is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team in Moss Vale NSW. This is a part-time position 3 days per week. As a Sales Assistant, you will be delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. Your role will be fundamental to creating a welcoming shopping experience and building lasting relationships with our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting customers warmly and identifying their furniture and bedding needs
- Providing knowledgeable product recommendations and guidance to customers
- Processing sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale systems
- Assisting with product displays and ensuring the showroom is clean, organised and visually appealing
- Answering customer enquiries about product features, pricing and delivery options
- Handling customer concerns and complaints professionally and courteously
- Meeting sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the store
- Maintaining knowledge of current promotions and product ranges
What we're looking for
- Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage with customers
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided if necessary)
- A keen interest in furniture and home furnishings is advantageous
