Based at Rockhampton Hospital, our expanding Cardiac Services team operates within a highly sophisticated, multidisciplinary model encompassing advanced diagnostic, procedural, and inpatient care.

About the role:
- Provide advanced clinical nursing care and expert practice guidance across all preadmission, procedural, and recovery phases.
- Lead clinical decision-making, advanced patient monitoring, and the proactive escalation of clinical deterioration.
- Coordinate and optimize patient flow, staffing, and clinical activities to support efficient daily Cath Lab operations.
- Deliver expert procedural support to cardiologists during invasive interventions while maintaining strict aseptic and radiation safety.
- Mentor and supervise nursing staff, graduates, and students, driving a continuous learning culture across the unit.
About you:
- You hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA.
- You possess advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, backed by deep knowledge of contemporary interventional cardiology practice.
- You demonstrate proven clinical leadership, using critical thinking and effective communication to foster shared decision-making.
- You are an active contributor to quality initiatives, clinical audits,
and the integration of evidence-based research into practice.
- You embody professional integrity, showing deep empathy and respect toward patients, families, and your multidisciplinary peers.
What we offer:
Total base remuneration value of up to $139,252 p.a. is comprised of:
- A base hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
