Here at Followmont we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a hard working, customer focused, self-driven operator to join our high performing PUD team on a Full Time basis. This Full Time will be part of a fast paced team workplace focusing on building strong customer relationships through local freight deliveries and pickups.
The Job
Flexible with working wide-ranging hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates 07:00 to 15:06Work to deliver high levels of service to our customers through effectively transporting general freight supporting the Cairns) communityTake responsibility for safely and securely loading and unloading a variety of freight with some manual handling of parcel freightCompleting daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooksOperate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload general freight (Regional only) (Optional)
Qualifications




Hold a current MR license (and Forklift Ticket (LF)) with proven experience operating a Heavy Vehicle for a minimum of 2 years A strong level of resilience and ability to problem solve coupled with the capability to work within a fast-paced, high pressure environment Have a passion for going the extra mile to provide high level service to all our customers Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check if required
