An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organised Project Support Officer to join a State Government team responsible for strategic infrastructure investment planning. This role will support the coordination of regional road investment programs and transport portfolio planning activities that contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure priorities across Western Australia.
This position is suited to an experienced administrator or project support professional who enjoys working with data, documentation, reporting and stakeholder coordination in a quick-paced environment.
Your new role
Working within a collaborative project team, you will provide administrative and project support across a range of infrastructure investment planning activities, including:
- Supporting regional road investment planning and portfolio investment coordination activities
- Assisting with the maintenance of project records, templates, registers and documentation
- Collecting, updating and maintaining project information relating to scope, cost, readiness and priorities
- Assisting with the preparation of budget submissions, project proposals, business case documentation and planning reports
- Maintaining spreadsheets, databases and shared project records
- Supporting the coordination of meetings, workshops and follow-up actions
- Assisting with the preparation of briefing notes, committee papers and internal reports
- Monitoring project information, action items and key deadlines through tracking tools and registers
- Ensuring accurate recordkeeping, document control and version management
- Coordinating information requests and stakeholder communications across multiple teams
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in administration, project support or program coordination roles
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with data and documentation
- Experience maintaining registers, spreadsheets, records and reporting information
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing tasks independently
Highly regarded:
- Experience supporting infrastructure, capital works, project management or government programs
- Exposure to budget coordination, reporting processes or governance documentation
- Experience preparing briefing materials, meeting packs and committee documentation
