Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled professional to oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities across both landside and airside operations. The role is responsible for ensuring all assets are maintained in a safe, compliant, and operational condition, coordinating maintenance activities, responding to faults and breakdowns, and supporting the efficient operation of airport infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and service delivery across all operational areas.

Some of the roles core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Upkeep a preventative maintenance program to minimise cost and maximise use of GSE equipment

- Maintain detailed records of all fleet vehicles

- Organise the tracking of fleet expenses to maintain the yearly budget

- Potable Water testing-Management/Treatment

- Daily and weekly equipment checklist

- GSE Acceptance forms

- Red tag system and breakdown records

- Assist with Risk Assessments

- Manage AUA's with PAPL

- Do minor repairs for wheelchairs

- Compile detailed and clear reports for management as required

- Monitor serviceability of GSE Perth station

- Plan, organise and direct duties to meet objective in conjunction with local station management

- Control resources and cost allocations within budgetary restraints

- Establish, maintain and promote effective working relationships with various service providers at Perth Airport, external GSE suppliers

- Upkeep a testing and inspection program to determine quality, suitability and compliance with specifications for vehicles, parts, accessories and materials
To ensure that each division of the ramp department operates within the policies, procedures and regulations set forth by a company, local, states and federal laws specific to GSE

- Perform GSE self-audits





- APAM vehicle registration inventory and control

- Liaise with fuel supplier

- Work down as directed

The successful candidate will be extremely self-motivated and have a proactive attitude with a high degree of initiative. You are highly organised and possess the ability to prioritise workload efficiently and have a positive and team-oriented approach to your work.

Candidate requirments

- Strong organizational skills

- Must be able to work a 7 day rotating roster as required by the operation

- General maintenance (mechanical) experience, with proven work history in a similar role

- Relevant trade/qualification advantageous

- Ability to communicate and develop a good working relationship with various departments, airport authority members and managers at all levels

- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills

- Computer literacy – strong Office 365 skills (Teams, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and use an online dashboard system
