About the role
Site supervision and onsite engineering support on BMS and HVAC-R systems. The role involves fault finding, diagnostic technical support and solutions during system breakdowns, monitoring, troubleshooting and fixing repairs on BMS and HVAC-R systems. You will apply technical knowledge to address problems and determine action, undertake testing and commissioning of BMS and HVAC-R systems, and prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation. You will interpret drawings and ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards and client requirements. The role includes reviewing and reporting on existing BMS and HVAC-R installations with a focus on providing optimisation and feature improvements, assisting project and service managers with site coordination and work schedules, and supervising projects to meet HSEQ requirements and maintain an incident/injury free workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Site supervision and onsite engineering support on BMS and HVAC-R systems
- Fault finding issues, provide diagnostic technical support and solutions during system breakdown
- Monitor, troubleshoot and fix repairs on BMS and HVAC-R systems
- Apply technical knowledge to address problems and determine action
- Undertake testing and commissioning of BMS and HVAC-R systems
- Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation
- Interpret drawings and ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards and client requirements
- Review and report on existing BMS and HVAC-R installations with focus on providing optimisation and feature improvements
- Assist project manager and service manager with site coordination and work schedule
- Supervise projects in meeting HSEQ requirement and maintaining an incident/ injury free workplace.
- Actively promote and lead safe work practices to adhere with relevant OH&S; management, Quality and Environmental systems, processes and behaviours
About you
- At least 5 years' experience as BMS and HVAC-R technician
- Qualified and licenced Refrigeration/Electrical background
- Relevant industry experience
- Hands-on and organised
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Practical understanding of Building Code of Australia and Australian standards in relation to Mechanical and Electrical work in building construction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with focus on valuable client delivery and relationship building skills
- Attention to detail
