The successful applicant will assist with vehicle body repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Duties may include:
- Assessing vehicle body damage and assisting with repair planning where required.
- Removing, repairing, replacing, and fitting damaged panels and vehicle body components.
- Straightening damaged panels, frames, and body sections using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Filling, grinding, sanding, and preparing repaired surfaces for painting.
- Using welding, cutting, hydraulic, pneumatic, and hand tools in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
- Refitting body hardware, trims, lights, and related components following repairs.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and workshop areas in a clean and secure condition.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Working cooperatively with estimators, painters, apprentices, suppliers, insurers, and other team members.
