DTMT Logistics is looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our finance team on a full-time fixed-term basis through to February 2028.
We are looking for someone to start around October 2026, allowing for a 6–8 week handover with the current Accounts Officer before they go on extended leave.
This is a hands-on role covering payroll, invoicing, fuel processing and general accounting support. We are looking for someone who is comfortable checking information, resolving discrepancies and working closely with both finance and operations.
The role will initially be based at our Bibra Lake office, with the business relocating to Forrestfield in late 2026.
The role includes:
- Managing high-volume customer invoicing
- Processing fortnightly payroll for approximately 35–40 employees
- Reviewing and processing employee timesheets
- Cross-checking payroll information against telematics, job records and other operational information
- Following up and resolving timesheet, payroll and invoicing discrepancies
- Preparing payroll journal entries, including divisional allocations
- Preparing Payroll Tax returns for review prior to lodgement
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) for review prior to lodgement
- Preparing superannuation contributions for review and lodgement
- Managing fuel pricing and coordinating fuel orders
- Processing monthly fuel usage and costs by individual asset and business division
- Reviewing fuel transactions and allocations for accuracy
- Managing bulk vehicle registration renewals and associated administration with the WA Department of Transport
- Assisting with reconciliations and month-end processing
- General accounting and finance administration
- Other ad hoc accounting duties as required
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Payroll Officer, Bookkeeper or similar role
- End-to-end payroll experience
- Experience in a high-volume invoicing environment
- Experience preparing Payroll Tax, BAS and superannuation information
- Experience with reconciliations, journals and cost allocations
- Positive Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work to payroll, invoicing and month-end deadlines
- A practical approach to investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Good communication skills and the confidence to follow up information with employees, supervisors and managers
An Accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
Experience in transport, logistics, construction, mining or another operational environment would also be well regarded.
Experience with electronic timesheets, telematics, fuel management, fleet administration or job management systems would be an advantage.
