Harmony Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to join our orthodontic clinic in Riverton, This is a full-time position for 35 hours a week , 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who visits our practice. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our clinic and directly impacts patient satisfaction and retention.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Managing patient appointment scheduling and maintaining accurate records using our dental practice management software
- Processing patient registrations and updating personal information and medical history forms
- Handling telephone enquiries and booking appointments with efficiency and courtesy
- Processing patient payments and managing billing procedures
- Coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic to ensure clinicians are utilized effectively
- Providing patients with information about treatment options, costs and aftercare requirements
- Managing reception administration, including correspondence, filing and general office duties
- Supporting the clinical team by preparing patient records and treatment documentation
- Banking and Mail
- Assisting in Sterilization when required
- Assisting in Environment Cleaning
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist/dental assistant or in a similar healthcare reception role
- Knowledge of sterilization protocol
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and general computer systems
- Knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with orthodontic procedures and treatments
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong customer service orientation with genuine empathy for patient needs
- Attention to detail and accuracy when managing appointments, billing and patient records
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support clinical staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of a busy practice
- Have full Australian working rights
