Currawong is a world-leading manufacturer of premium products for aerial vehicles, with a reputation built over more than twenty years of precision engineering, innovation and reliable supply to Defence, law enforcement and commercial customers worldwide.

Located just 15 minutes south of Hobart, our advanced manufacturing facility includes a fully equipped machine shop, engine assembly and testing capabilities, and an electronics assembly facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, building relationships with customers around the world, and playing a key role in ensuring complex orders are delivered seamlessly.

What you’ll do

You will manage end-to-end customer sales enquiries, liaising directly with customers and our internal team to generate accurate quotations tailored to customer needs.

You will guide customers through each stage of the sales process, providing accurate and timely information and communication throughout. You will follow up enquiries and work with customers through to order fulfilment.

This is an office-based role requiring regular collaboration with our engineering and production teams to obtain essential technical information and respond to customer enquiries. The role involves extensive use of computer systems and established processes to ensure the productive and accurate delivery of customer and sales activities.

You will use our systems and processes to manage customer and sales interactions, maintain accurate CRM records and support successful sales outcomes. You will also prepare quotations for international customers, determining the appropriate currency and any relevant discounts , while managing multiple enquiries and orders simultaneously.

We train you in the features and benefits of our products to enable successful handling of general enquiries, with our engineering team on hand for the technical detail.

What success looks like





- Competent and confident use of internal management systems and processes

- Independent management of the customer sales process from enquiry through to order fulfilment

- Timely, professional and effective communication with customers via email and video conference

- Accurate and up-to-date recording of customer interactions and sales activities

- Completion of all documentation associated with customer eligibility requirements and Mutual Confidentiality Agreements

- Accurate preparation of customer quotations, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail

- Accurate reconciliation and maintenance of customer and sales documentation

- Proactive follow-up and regular communication with customers throughout the sales process

- Effective coordination of technical support requirements when required

- Timely and professional coordination of marketing materials for CEO visits and trade shows

- Able to provide accurate information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

- Clear, professional and respectful in both written and verbal communication

- Relationship-focused, with the ability to build rapport with people from all over the world

- A collaborative team player, comfortable liaising with engineering and production teams to assist with customer enquiries

- Confident and proficient in using technology, including Word, Excel, Google Docs and Google Sheets

What’s in it for you





The salary range is $65,000 to $79,000 per year excluding superannuation, depending on experience. Starting salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the successful candidate's experience and capabilities.

What you’ll need

Essential Requirements

- Current driver's licence

- The ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) if required

- Due to the amount of training required, only candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered

Desirable

- Previous experience preparing quotations involving different currencies and quantity discounts

- Experience in sales administration, customer service or quoting within a manufacturing or export environment
