Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sunshine Coast, QLD. This role oversees day-to-day clinic operations, including appointment scheduling workflows, patient flow, and coordination between clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth service delivery. The Operations Manager monitors performance metrics, manages budgets, supports compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Responsibilities include supervising administrative staff, managing rosters, overseeing vendor and supplier relationships, and maintaining clinic policies and procedures.



The role also involves working closely with surgeons and practice leadership to support strategic initiatives, drive quality improvement, and ensure consistent, high-standard care across the practice.
Qualifications
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in healthcare, medical practice, or allied health settings.Strong skills in workflow optimisation, process improvement, and resource planning to support efficient clinic operations.Demonstrated capability in people management, including team leadership, performance management, and staff development.Competence in budgeting, financial monitoring, and basic practice administration to support sustainable business performance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and administrative teams.Proficiency with practice management software and Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.Sound understanding of patient confidentiality, healthcare regulations, and quality and safety standards.Relevant tertiary qualification in business, health administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands.Experience working within an orthopaedic or specialist medical environment is beneficial but not required.
