Sitzler is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yardsman to join our logistics team.
This is a hands-on, active role suited to someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and contributing to essential site operations. The position involves repetitive manual tasks and is primarily outdoors , working in a dynamic logistic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily yard and logistics operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Load, unload and coordinate the movement of materials, plant (where applicable) and equipment
- Washing & Cleaning plant & equipment and trucks on return from site
- Safe operation of heavy equipment & vehicles as required and within qualifications and licence capabilities
- Maintain and upkeep wash bay cleanliness
- Complete pre-starts, inspections and required documentation
- Maintain plant, tools and yard areas in a clean and serviceable condition
- Identify and report faults or defects in plant and equipment
- Assist with yard organisation and housekeeping
- Contribute to general labouring duties as required
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in labouring and/or plant operations
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- HR Driver’s Licence (minimum)
- Forklift Licence - highly desired (high risk)
- Strong understanding of construction plant and equipment
- Good awareness of safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
- Able to complete documentation accurately
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and manual tasks
- Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced, hands-on setting , including varying weather conditions
