Platinum Plant & Equipment Hire are recruiting for Drainers / Pipe layers due to continuing growth. We require highly skilled and experienced permanent full time qualified Drainers / Pipe layers for works in the Perth Metropolitan area to join the team. The Drainer / Pipe layers works under the direction of the Supervisor and passes on direction to the offsiders. They are required to assist the Supervisor with planning of the pipework and assist with the setting out of work and selection of plant required to complete the works.

Qualifications

The individual must have the relevant experience and qualifications

- Current Construction Industry General Safety Induction White Card

- Full Class C Driving License or higher.

- Cert III Pipelaying or equivalent





Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a drainer or pipe layer

- Demonstrated knowledge of all pipe laying and water main installation activities

- Competent and knowledge in:

1. Reading and interpretation of plans and materials technology

2. Shoring

3. Backfilling

4. Working around live services

5. Plant and equipment functions and capabilities

6. Demonstrated ability to follow work practices, policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines.

7. Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule tasks to ensure they are performed efficiently.

8. Sound knowledge and civil construction and maintenance methods.

9. Experience on Water Corporation projects desirable, also working around services in the CBD and Metro environments.

10. Excavator ticket and MR Licence desirable
