What working at Skout Care is like
At Skout Care, you’re not just filling shifts — you’re part of a tight knit, energetic team that actually works together, supports each other, and takes pride in doing things properly.
You’ll know your managers.
You’ll be backed on shift.
And you’ll be paired with participants where you're genuinely the right fit, and where your input actually matters.
The Role
- Supporting participants with a range of disabilities, including mental health and psychosocial, physical, intellectual and neurological conditions
- Delivering support across community, in-home, and accommodation settings
- Helping participants build routine, independence, and practical life skills
- Delivering structured supports through programs like Employability and SkoutFit
- Following support plans and behaviour strategies, with ongoing guidance from the team
- Completing clear, accurate documentation (shift notes, incidents, progress updates)
- Maintaining consistent communication with Case Managers and the wider team
What makes this different
Our Case Managers are hands-on, not hands-off — you won't be left guessing. Shifts are structured so you know what you're walking into, and safety is taken seriously for both participants and staff. We're a growing organisation with genuine long-term, permanent opportunities on offer, and we want people to stay.
Room to specialise
Alongside your regular support work, there's room to grow into a speciality if you show you've got what it takes. While still remaining a Support Worker at the core, you can grow into being:
- Team Lead — support and coordinate the support team, help onboard current starters,
be a go-to on the floor
- Program Mentor — run structured individual programs like Employability or SkoutFit
- Fitness Coach — lead fitness-focused sessions for participants working toward physical goals
- Expedition Leader — Lead outdoors and group sessions
If you've got the drive, we'll back you to build something out of it.

Who this suits

- You can build rapport but also hold boundaries when needed
- You want to be part of a team that’s collaborative, driven, and actually cares
