Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government department to find an experienced Data Cabling Technician.

Our client is a prominent Commonwealth agency whose technology platforms underpin Australia's international presence and engagement. As a Data Cabling Technician , you will provide support and sustain data management of critical optical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and support network, server, and associated ICT infrastructure within data centres.
- Undertake fibre optic and copper cabling installation, termination, and testing, including rack preparation activities.
- Support the operation and sustainment of Data Centre Network and optical network environments .
- Apply strong networking knowledge to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimise infrastructure performance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation under direction.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure solutions.

Key Experience and Skills

- Experience with DWDM-based Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) solutions
- Knowledge of optical network architecture, design and data/configuration management practices




- Deploying and managing optical network infrastructure in data centre and enterprise environments.
- Experience in rack installation, structured cabling, and hardware lifecycle management.

Security Requirements

Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
