About the role

Absolute Coastal Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Professionals to join our team on a casual basis . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly and disabled individuals within our Tarrawanna, NSW community. As a Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support services to vulnerable clients, enabling them to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering high-quality, person-centred aged and disability support services.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner

2. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry

3. Assist with mobility and transferring, using appropriate manual handling techniques

4. Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided and any changes in client condition

5. Communicate effectively with clients, family members and the broader care team to ensure continuity of care

6. Respond compassionately to client needs and concerns, escalating any safeguarding issues appropriately

7. Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for clients

8. Support clients with social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing and engagement

9. Comply with all health and safety protocols, including infection control and manual handling procedures

10. Work flexibly as part of a casual workforce to meet fluctuating service demands

What we're looking for

1. A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable and elderly individuals with compassion and respect

2.



Previous experience in aged care, disability support, healthcare or a similar caring role

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships

4. Physical capability to assist with personal care tasks and mobility support

5. Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours as required

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times

7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

Essentials Requirements

✓ Current Driver's Licence

✓ NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)

✓ Working With Children Check (where applicable)

✓ Current First Aid & CPR

✓ NDIS Worker Orientation Module
