About the role

Godrich Health Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our in-home aged care team in Perth. This is a casual position offering flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people. You will provide essential support and care to clients within their own homes, enabling them to maintain independence and dignity. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about delivering quality aged care services and building genuine connections with the people we support.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing and toileting

- Providing companionship and emotional support to help reduce isolation and promote wellbeing

- Helping with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, kitchen duties and maintaining a clean, safe living environment

- Supporting clients with mobility and transferring using appropriate techniques and equipment

- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping and community activities

- Monitoring and reporting on client health and wellbeing, communicating any concerns to supervisors

- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of care provided and client information





- Following care plans and instructions whilst respecting client preferences and dignity

- Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering to infection control protocols

- Building trusting relationships with clients, their families and the wider care team

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for supporting older adults and commitment to person-centred care

- Previous experience in aged care, disability support or a related care setting is highly desirable

- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy

- Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and daily living tasks

- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A valid People Clearance, or willingness to obtain one

- A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport for visiting clients' homes

- The ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times

- Flexibility to work wide-ranging hours, including weekends and public holidays as required for casual work

- A caring attitude, patience and excellent interpersonal skills
