The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming works, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-8 years of civil construction project engineering experience.

This is a leadership role suited to a highly capable civil construction professional with strong technical, financial and contractual acumen, who can confidently drive project delivery from planning through to completion.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Site Engineers, Contract Administrators and stakeholders, you will play a key role in managing project performance, mentoring junior staff and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects

- Manage RFIs, design coordination, variations and change events

- Ensure construction activities comply with current drawings, specifications and standards

- Prepare and monitor project programs in consultation with Project Managers

- Oversee subcontractors, procurement, material tracking and project deliverables

- Manage project financials including forecasting, cost reporting and productivity tracking

- Prepare and assist with monthly progress claims, cash flow reporting and project forecasting

- Monitor WHS, QA and environmental compliance across projects





- Assist with internal audits, risk management and WHSEQA implementation

- Coordinate and prepare project documentation, reports and meeting minutes

- Mentor and support Site Engineers and junior project staff

- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders

- Drive project outcomes while maintaining safety, quality and commercial performance standards

About You

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Construction Industry White Card

- First Aid Certificate

- Asbestos Awareness Training

- Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Training

- Ability to obtain or hold relevant site-based certifications and inductions

- Engineers Australia registration or ACT Registered Engineer highly regarded

Requirements

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Construction Industry White Card

- All safety certifications must be held at the commencement of employment

- First Aid Certificate

- Asbestos Awareness Training

- Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Training

- Ability to obtain or hold relevant site-based certifications and inductions

- Engineers Australia registration or ACT Registered Engineer highly regarded

- Must have Australian work rights at the time of application
