Senior Rostering Coordinator – Out of Home Care

As the Senior Rostering Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring children and young people receive consistent, high-quality care through effective workforce planning, rostering and operational coordination.

Working closely with Program Team Leaders and Operations Leads, you will oversee staffing coverage across multiple Out of Home Care programs, provide workforce insights, coordinate scheduling activities and support operational excellence across the service.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Program Leaders as a trusted advisor, providing expert recruitment and workforce planning guidance.

- Experience providing leadership, coaching or supervision to rostering, administration or operational support staff.

- Influence and support talent decisions through staff and client matching.

- Coordinate and support rostering and operational practices across multiple Youth Residential Care placements

- Monitor staffing coverage and proactively identify service gaps and workforce needs.

- Provide on demand reporting, scheduling analysis and workforce insights to leadership teams

- Champion and support Induction processes, working alongside the team in the induction training of new staff (Rosters, shifts, systems).

- Manage, interact with and maintain scheduling systems.

- Liaise with Payroll and oversee timesheet approvals.

- Understanding of workforce compliance requirements, including interpretation of relevant awards and rostering best practice.

- Experience using rostering, workforce management or scheduling system

- Support the management of the program fleet operations

- Ensure information management systems and reporting processes are maintained accurately





- Foster positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies within the program

About You

You are a highly organised and solutions-focused professional with robust coordination, analytical and communication skills. You are confident managing competing priorities, working with data and supporting teams in complex service environments.

You will also bring:

- Experience coordinating rosters, scheduling or operational service delivery teams

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

- Understanding of financial tracking, invoicing and expenditure monitoring

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team culture

- Commitment to child-safe practices and values-driven service delivery

- Understanding of trauma-informed practice or the child protection sector (desirable)

Essential Requirements

- Current National Police Clearance

- Current Working with Children Check

- Child Protection Record Screening Check (395)

- Current WA Driver's Licence

- Completion of, or willingness to complete, Mandatory Reporting Training

- Diploma qualification and/or demonstrated experience in operational scheduling or workforce coordination
