We are committed to delivering high-quality solutions, and we are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Open Pit Geologist to join our client’s team.

The Role: As an Open Pit Geologist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of an open pit mine by providing accurate geological data, conducting grade control, and working closely with production and planning teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the field and is keen to contribute to the success of active mining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily pit mapping, ore spotting, and grade control
- Log and sample blast holes with accuracy
- Monitor and mark ore/waste boundaries to maximise recovery
- Maintain and update geological maps, logs, and data
- Collaborate with mine planning and production teams
- Adhere to safety and environmental protocols on site

About You:

- Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Previous open pit mining experience




- Strong understanding of grade control processes
- Proficient in geological software (e.g. Surpac, Leapfrog, ArcGIS)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Manual driver's licence required
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety
