This leading live events and production company delivers exceptional audio visual solutions for corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, live productions and special events. With a reputation for technical excellence and outstanding customer service, they are looking for an experienced Audio Technician to join their growing team.
Position Terms:
- Permanent, full-time role
- Salary: $80k-$100k plus super
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Audio Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality audio solutions across a wide variety of live events. Working both independently and as part of a production team, you'll ensure audio systems are prepared, installed, operated and packed down safely while providing an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Set up, operate and pack down professional audio systems for live events
- Mix live audio for conferences, corporate events and special events
- Configure wireless microphone and RF systems
- Troubleshoot audio issues during live events
- Read and interpret technical plans and event documentation
- Assist with warehouse preparation and equipment maintenance
- Lead small to medium production crews when required
- Liaise with clients and project managers on-site
- Maintain high safety standards and company presentation
The Candidate: The successful candidate will have experience working as an Audio Technician within the events industry. Solid knowledge of professional audio equipment and signal flow is essential for this role.
- Experience operating digital mixing consoles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure
- Current Driver's Licence and White Card
- Forklift, EWP or MR/HR Licence highly regarded
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required
- Ability to travel for event delivery when required
