As we gear up for a high-paced Spring season, we're expanding our team at Thunderbird Mine and are on the lookout for skilled and safety-focused Fixed Plant Poly Welders to join the action supporting the mining team.

Key ingredients to ensure success in the role:

- Read drawings (esp. Isometric Drawings), work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.

- Strong experience in HDPE butt welding and pipeline installation, maintenance and repairs

- Competency in electrofusion welding.

- Experience in operating a track-mounted poly machine

- Experience working on spools up to DN800

- Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors.

- Operating mobile plant, including excavators, wheel loaders and telehandlers

- Strong understanding of QA/QC requirements and industry standards.

- Maintain clean safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules and safety.

Essential Requirements for role:

- Demonstrated commitment to safety

- Minimum of 12 months continuous experience as a poly welder, ideally in mining or a similar industry

- Poly Welder Ticket (HDPE butt welding and pipeline installation experience)





- C2 Crane Operator licence with practical experience

- Experience operating excavators, wheel loaders and telehandlers

- Chainsaw ticket and practical experience

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- White Card

- Working at Heights

- High-risk license

- Confined Space

- Unlimited Australian Work Rights
