Retail Operations Manager — AMA Warehouse, Yatala

Location: Based at Yatala Head Office (QLD) with regular visits to our other stores as required.

About AMA Warehouse:
AMA Warehouse is a retail leader in motorcycle gear, parts, and accessories, with three physical stores across Queensland and Victoria and a growing online presence.

About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced, people-focused retail leader to support our teams.
You’ll lead across our physical store and online operations, providing the leadership and support needed for the smooth day-to-day running of the business. Your focus will be on driving performance, profitability and culture across the store network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Support, Coaching & HR: Coach, train, and support your team to perform at their best to ensure customer satisfaction, sales potential and great culture within the business.

- Sales Growth, Performance Reporting & Budget Adherence: Lead sales target achievement; monitor and report on store performance metrics to drive continuous improvement against budget and targets.

- Process, SOP Ownership & Improvement: Keep our checklists and standard operating procedures front and centre in day-to-day operations. Bring fresh eyes to existing procedures and suggest improvements that make life easier for the team.

- Operational Problem-Solving: Be the go-to person for working through operational challenges as they come up, with a solutions-first mindset, ensuring smooth operation across the business.





- WHS Compliance: Ensure WHS compliance and safe work practices are upheld across all locations.

What We’re Looking For:

- A natural people leader with strong HR skills. You love coaching and developing people, and you’re comfortable having the tough conversations when needed.

- Process-driven, with a strong affinity for checklists, SOPs, and consistent execution. You believe good systems, followed properly, are what make a business run smoothly.

- Excellent attention to detail. You notice what’s fallen through the cracks and help get it back on track.

- Follow-through. You’re someone who sees things through to completion.

- Commercially sharp, with a strong handle on business numbers.

- A track record of resolving operational issues efficiently and calmly.

- A knack for observing and improving existing processes.

- Experience supporting or managing multiple retail sites.

- A track record of driving sales performance through others.

- Previous Parts and Accessories or motorcycle industry experience an advantage.

- Experience with Retail Express POS advantageous but not essential.
