Tony's Auto Wreckers is seeking a Tilt Tray Driver to join our team on a part-time basis (Tues - Thurs a must) . Based in Midvale WA 6056 , this role is essential to our operations, ensuring the safe and effective collection and delivery of vehicles across the region. As a Tilt Tray Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialist towing equipment and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety in all aspects of your work. This position offers flexibility whilst contributing to the smooth operation of our growing business.
Key responsibilities
1. Operate tilt tray vehicles safely and efficiently to collect and deliver vehicles to various locations
2. Conduct pre and post-journey vehicle checks to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition
3. Secure loads properly using appropriate restraints and equipment, adhering to all legal and safety requirements
4. Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries and vehicle mileage
5. Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch staff and other team members to ensure timely service delivery
6. Follow all traffic laws,
road regulations and company safety procedures at all times
7. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the tilt tray vehicle
8. Respond professionally to customer enquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during transport
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience operating tilt tray or similar towing equipment
2. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
6. A reliable and professional attitude with a commitment to safety
7. Flexibility to work part-time hours as required
8. Desirable: experience in the automotive or towing industry
