We are seeking an experienced Site Project Engineer – Pre Contracts , to join our growing team and contribute to some of Southeast Queensland’s most significant infrastructure projects.

This prospect is suited to someone who has been part of a preliminary services team that can drive the pre contracts phase of the project including close collaboration with estimators, planners, projects manager and the design team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in coordinating pre contract activities including RFIs, technical input on tenders, management of site investigations and condition assessments, providing estimating support and identifying risks to streamline constructability.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, quantities, and pricing for water and sewer infrastructure projects

- Management of site investigations and completing condition assessments.

- Review client designs and drawing to support BOQ development

- Identify design risks and propose alternative solutions to enhance constructability

- Coordinate and manage document control for pre contract activities

- Coordinate site inspections and assess project-specific conditions

- Program and sequence works efficiently in consultation with delivery teams

- Interpret specifications, standards, and designs for cost implications

- Develop first-principles estimates and submissions

- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes with precision

- Support tender handovers and pre-contracts for successful bids

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in civil infrastructure estimating or project delivery

- Experience in water/wastewater (preferred but not mandatory)

- Proficiency with Expert Estimator software or similar

- Strong capability with MS Suite, Outlook, and MS Project/Primavera

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Strong commercial and financial acumen

- Current Driver’s Licence
