Cairns Urgent Care Clinic, located in the suburb of Edmonton, provides acute care and treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent medical attention.
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent full-time or part-time position.
Clinic Hours
- Weekdays: 8:00am – 10:00pm
- Weekends: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Open 7 days a week
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients and delivering high-quality front-line care while working closely alongside General Practitioners in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments to efficiently triage patients
- Delivering high-quality patient care and responding decisively to patients requiring urgent or emergency attention
- Monitoring and responding to patient deterioration
- Providing health education and advice to patients as required
- Completing all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A clinical background in General Practice and/or Triage
- A compassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to patient care
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends
- Current ALS/CPR certification
- Current AHPRA registration
