If you enjoy the outdoors, warm weather, fishing, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle, Mackay is the place to be . We are expanding our tree services division and are seeking a keen, safety‑aware, street‑smart individual who wants to build a long‑term career in arboriculture.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone young or early in their career , who is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced arborists. You do not need a Cert III in Arboriculture — what matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail .

You will work alongside qualified arborist and learn:

- Tree maintenance and protected work practices

- Chainsaw operation

- EWP/ Spider Lift operation

- Basic climbing and rigging (as you progress)

- Hazard identification and risk management

- How to operate in commercial, government, and residential environments

Some travel within Regional Queensland may be required.

What We’re Looking For

- Keen to develop a career as an arborist

- Strong attention to detail





- Safety‑aware and able to identify risks

- “Street smart” and situationally aware

- Physically fit (for the NQ heat)

- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

- Good communication skills

- Construction White Card (or willing to obtain)

- Manual car licence – required

- MR truck licence – preferable

- Team player with a positive attitude
