Sprinkler Fitter

Due to continued growth, Banhams WA is seeking a fully qualified Sprinkler Fitter to join our Wet Fire Division . This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and respected fire services provider, delivering high-quality fire protection and plumbing services across a diverse client base.

Opportunities are available for both Sprinkler Fitters and fully qualified Plumbers .

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the Project work, maintenance and rectification works, call out response attendance of fire protection systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area.

You will work both independently and as part of a skilled and supportive team, delivering compliant, high-quality fire system outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, inspect, test and rectify fire protection systems in accordance with AS 1851

- Work on systems including sprinklers, fire pumps, water storage tanks, fire hose reels and fire hydrants





- Carry out installation and modification works in line with relevant standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 2441, AS 2941 )

- Accurately complete job documentation and reports using digital systems

- Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams

- Identify non-compliances and complete rectification works as required

- Participate in infrequent weekend work and a rostered on-call service

Essential Skills & Experience

- Fully qualified Sprinkler Fitter

- Proven experience in fire protection servicing, maintenance and installation

- Robust working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards

- Ability to work independently and manage jobs end to end

- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance

- Confidence using digital reporting software

- Current White Card

- Valid manual driver’s licence

Desirable Experience

- Certificate III in Fire Protection or equivalent

- Experience working across additional fire services systems

- Willingness to learn other product areas within the Banhams Group , including commercial hydraulic pump systems and underwater ROV inspection services (training provided)
