About the role

In this role, you will support the delivery of projects and program initiatives across the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) portfolio. You will help coordinate activities, track milestones and dependencies, maintain project documentation and prepare reporting and governance materials. You will also work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, helping to coordinate meetings, workshops and consultations and ensuring actions, decisions and follow-up activities are clearly captured and progressed.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinate day-to-day project activities, including actions, milestones, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
- Maintain project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, status reports and other project documentation.
- Prepare clear and accurate project reporting, dashboards and governance papers.
- Coordinate inputs to governance meetings and track actions and decisions through to completion.
- Support stakeholder meetings, workshops and consultations, including preparing presentations, briefings and summaries.
- Support project and program reporting, including tracking progress and identifying issues or gaps that need attention.
- Take responsibility for specific work packages or areas of project delivery as required.
- Contribute to improving project coordination practices, tools and ways of working.

This is a great opportunity to join an EPMO at an early stage and gain broad experience across project delivery, governance and stakeholder engagement while supporting strategic programs that are shaping the future of RACS.

This position is Full Time, 12-month maximum term parental leave replacement from October 2026 to October 2027. Location is flexible; however, Melbourne is preferred.

About the team

The EPMO is responsible for overseeing and supporting RACS's portfolio of projects and strategic initiatives. The team works with project managers, project leads, portfolio and functional teams, managers and staff across RACS, as well as committees, working groups, external consultants, delivery partners, Society Partners and health jurisdictions. The EPMO provides a consistent approach to project governance, reporting and delivery. The team helps projects stay aligned with organisational priorities, provides visibility of progress and risks, and supports teams to work through delivery challenges. As the EPMO is newly established, this role will have the chance to contribute to how the team works and how project coordination practices develop over time.

About you

You will be organised, reliable and comfortable working across several projects and priorities at once. You will take pride in producing accurate work and keeping information clear and up to date.

You will bring:

- Experience in a project coordination or project support role, ideally in a complex or regulated environment.
- A sound understanding of project management approaches such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or Agile.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain clear and structured project documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, presentations and other materials.
- You will also be proactive and willing to take responsibility for getting things done.
- You will be able to work independently while staying closely connected with project leads and the broader EPMO team, and you will be comfortable building effective working relationships with people across different areas of the organisation.

Experience supporting large-scale transformation or strategy implementation programs, or exposure to governance forums and committee environments, would be advantageous.
