Trainee Pest Control Technician – Full Time

Protech Pest Control is looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our Melbourne-based team.

This is a full-time opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the pest management industry. Previous pest control experience is not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided to the right person.

You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing the practical skills and knowledge required to provide qualified pest management services across residential, commercial and industrial properties.

About the role

As a Trainee Pest Control Technician, you will be trained in all aspects of day-to-day pest management while assisting and working alongside experienced members of our team.

Your duties will include:

- Assisting with inspections of residential and commercial properties
- Learning to identify common pests, pest activity and potential entry or harbourage areas
- Assisting with pest management services for insects, rodents and other common pests
- Learning safe pest management practices and correct use of equipment
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating professionally with customers and explaining recommendations
- Following company procedures, safety requirements and customer site requirements
- Maintaining company vehicles, equipment and work areas in a clean and professional condition
- Participating in ongoing practical and industry training

As your training and competency progress, you will take on greater responsibility and work towards becoming a qualified Pest Control Technician.

A current Australian driver’s licence is essential.

Previous experience in pest control, trades, maintenance, construction, landscaping or another practical field may be advantageous but is not required.
