At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners - from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.
- Temporary Full-Time until 30 June 2028
- Based in Queanbeyan and Batemans Bay with three days per week in the office, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for skilled growth.
- Salary ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading
About the role
Rewarding opportunity to be a part of a team that supports schools and students in providing essential services and support. The role will:
- Receive and assess reports relating to students who may be at risk of harm, ensuring accurate records and timely case management.
- Provide high-quality advice and guidance to mandatory reporters on child protection obligations, response options and appropriate referral pathways.
- Work with internal teams and community partners to support effective and coordinated responses for students and their families.
- Deliver professional learning to mandatory reporters
- Provide culturally appropriate advice and support, including referral pathways for Aboriginal students and their families.
- Contribute to child protection training and professional learning, supporting staff to understand relevant policies, systems and procedures.
- Identify emerging trends and complex issues affecting student safety and wellbeing and provide timely advice to leadership.
