- Theestablishment of effective controls & communication protocols to manage andreport release activities.
- Emphasison ensuring code release meet their exit criteria for each environment and arealigned with testing and inter-dependent programs.
- CoordinateRelease of setting changes (where required).
- Co-ordinatesource code migration through various environments in a standard and controlledway.
- Maintainclose understanding of source code configuration management, branching andmerging aligned with the programs testing strategy and stream test plans.
- KeepProgram stakeholders informed including (but not limited to) a forward scheduleof release/change, participation in key meetings, reporting and advice.
- ManageRelease meetings, and effective communication and documentation to relevantparties ensuring the Release management process is clearly understood.
- Workclosely with test leads, development lead and stream leads to ensure releasemanagement is effective and timely.
- Solidunderstanding of the principles and practices associated with environmentmanagement and provisioning.
- Understandingof and experience in Software Development Life Cycles, including Waterfall andAgile approaches.
- Understandingof relational databases and client server applications.
- Someexperience with windows-based systems.
- Workingknowledge of web, networks, web design principles, XML, Oracle, SQL, Microsoftproducts and cloud environments.
- Userliaison skills and ability to read, document and understand businessrequirements and technical specifications.
