The Opportunity
A leading specialist advisory firm is seeking an experienced Director, Infrastructure & Government Advisory to join our growing Sydney team.
This is an opportunity for a high-performing infrastructure advisory professional to step into a genuine leadership role with significant autonomy, client responsibility, and a clear pathway to executive and equity participation.
We advise governments, infrastructure owners, investors, and developers on some of Australia's most significant infrastructure, PPP, project finance and public sector transformation initiatives. Our work spans transport, social infrastructure, water, energy, urban renewal, housing and government services.
We are looking for an individual who has the technical capability, commercial judgement and leadership qualities to help grow and lead a market-leading advisory practice.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the MD, you will:
- Seek out engagements and win advisory business
- Lead infrastructure, government advisory and transaction engagements
- Develop trusted relationships with senior government and private sector clients
- Advise on major infrastructure investments, PPPs, commercial strategies and business cases
- Lead project teams and mentor emerging leaders
- Drive business development and market growth initiatives
- Identify and convert strategic opportunities into long-term client relationships
- Contribute to the growth and leadership of the broader advisory practice
Ideal Background
We are interested in speaking with candidates currently operating at:
- Director
- Associate Director
- Executive Director
- Senior Manager with substantial leadership responsibilities
Applicants may come from:
- Big 4 infrastructure or government advisory practices
- Strategy and economics consulting firms
- Infrastructure transaction advisory teams
- Project finance advisory firms
- Infrastructure investment and development organisations
You Will Bring
- 10+ years' experience within infrastructure, government, strategy, transactions or advisory
- Solid commercial and financial advisory capability
- Strong existing client relationships and ability to generate opportunities and seek out work streams complimentary and non-duplicative with the firm’s existing pathways
- Existing government and/or infrastructure sector relationships
- Demonstrated ability to win and grow client work
- Strong leadership and team development capability
Highly Regarded Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be viewed favourably:
- Business cases and investment appraisal
- Government reform and transformation
- Public Private Partnerships (PPP)
- Infrastructure transactions
- Project finance
- Procurement and commercial advisory
- Transport, health, education, water, housing or energy sectors
Remuneration
An executive remuneration package will be negotiated based on capability and experience.
For the right candidate, remuneration and long-term incentives are expected to be commensurate with Partner-level earnings in major advisory firms.
