Mercure Kooindah Waters is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Room Attendants to join our housekeeping team on a casual basis . Based at our hotel in Wyong on the Central Coast, this role is fundamental to maintaining the exceptional standards our guests expect. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for creating clean, welcoming guest rooms and ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This casual position offers flexibility whilst contributing to the guest experience that defines Mercure Kooindah Waters.

What you'll be doing

Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising all surfaces

Changing bed linens and ensuring all bedding is fresh, wrinkle-free and properly made

Restocking bathrooms with toiletries, towels and other guest amenities

Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damages or required repairs to management

Maintaining cleanliness of corridors, communal areas and public spaces throughout the hotel

Responding promptly to guest requests and special requirements

Following all health, safety and hygiene protocols and procedures

Managing waste disposal and recycling appropriately

Working efficiently to complete assigned rooms within scheduled timeframes

Collaborating with team members to ensure consistent service standards across all areas

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Room Attendant or in a similar housekeeping role within a hotel or hospitality environment

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards

Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and move items safely throughout your shift





Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets

Reliable and punctual with a skilled attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to guest service

Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to housekeeping operations

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
