Residential Centre Assistant – Talent Pool Creation

Corrective Services NSW

Location – Sydney, Matraville

Employment type – Ongoing and temporary full-time opportunities available, including shift work, weekends, and public holidays, with penalty rates

Salary – $78,000 - $84,799 pa Plus Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading

Your role

Every resident has a story, and this role gives you the chance to make a positive difference in it. By providing support, encouragement, and a safe environment, you’ll help residents build confidence and reach their goals while gaining valuable experience in a rewarding, purpose-driven career.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Centre Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents to develop confidence, independence, and the skills needed to successfully transition into the community.

You’ll provide day-to-day support, implement individual Case Plans, monitor resident progress, and contribute to a safe, supportive, and positive living environment.

You will also build robust relationships with residents, connect them with external services, maintain accurate records, and respond appropriately to situations impacting resident safety, wellbeing, and program outcomes.

You’ll work as part of a dedicated and supportive team committed to making a positive difference in the lives of residents. The Residential Centre is a dynamic and rewarding environment where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to build meaningful connections, support individual growth, and see the direct impact of your work every day.

- You use your organisational and technology skills to maintain accurate records and support positive outcomes.
- You hold a current driver’s licence and are prepared to drive a vehicle as part of your role.
- You hold a current First Aid Certificate, or are willing to obtain one within your first three months of employment.
