Jason Warren Racing is seeking experienced stablehands / ground staff to join our team at Mornington.
The duties include:
- Mucking out
- Ensuring horses have feed, hay and water
- Trotting up horses for the trainer and vet
- Taking horses to the races as needed
- General barn maintenance - sweeping etc.
- Any other reasonable tasks as directed
This position will suit someone who has horse handling experience, preferably racing reliable experience but this is not essential. Be reliable, conscientious, with a high work ethic and able to take instructions from leadership. You must be physically fit and be able to work unsupervised.
The approximate hours are as follows:
- Mon - Sat morning: 5:00am to 10:30/11:00am
- Sun morning: 7:00am to 10:00am
- Afternoons: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
- We run a weekly roster and some Sundays may be required by negotiation
Award wages paid. This role is casual but for the right candidate we are happy to negotiate a permanent role if desired.
There is the potential for growth in to a leadership position for the right candidate.
This position does not count towards 88 days and currently we have no accommodation available.
