Corporate Protection is seeking several dedicated security professionals to join our maritime security team in the Mackay Region, as we support one of the area's most critical pieces of infrastructure.

While this position is well suited to those with Maritime Security experience, we also encourage applications from individuals looking to start a career in the industry. Roster: Day & Night Shifts available
Employment Type: Multiple Casual opportunities available
Local Applicants Only: Due to the nature of this position, all applicants must be local to the Mackay region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform Maritime Security Guard and Asset Protection duties as required and instructed
- Carry out all vehicle and foot security patrols to a high standard, ensuring accurate post patrol reports are documented.
- Operate Security equipment including CCTV, access control systems, general office equipment, radios and cameras in a safe and reliable manner.
- Report and document safety incidents and security events in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in regular toolbox talks, safety and on the job training/professional development sessions.
- Provide on-the-job training as directed
- Assist in the maintenance of site assets and vehicles, to ensure compliance with site requirements.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of site‑specific policies, procedures, and legislation.




- Maintain PPE, uniforms and work sites to a high standard
- Conduct administrative duties and complete documentation in a timely, accurate and concise manner

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

- Current QLD Security Officer’s Licence Class 1 (Unarmed, Monitoring)
- Current Unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Proof of Working Rights in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport or Visa)

The successful candidate must also be willing to obtain the following qualifications:

- Maritime Security Identification Card
- Safely Access the railway corridor (SARC)
- HLTPAT005 or HLTPAT010 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
- White Card
- Maritime Security Guard (MSG) Course – This is a CPA course to be completed prior to first shift
