EMVision Medical Devices Ltd (ASX:EMV) is a publicly listed medical technology company with ambitions to reduce the global burden of stroke and traumatic brain injury. Our first commercial product, the emu™ in-hospital brain scanner, is currently undergoing an international pivotal trial at leading centres including Mayo Clinic, UCLA, UTHealth and Mt Sinai to support regulatory clearance. Our second product, the First Responder pre-hospital scanner, is following closely behind.
As we transition from a strong R&D; focus toward commercialisation and market entry, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join us in a part-time job share arrangement. This is an prospect to contribute to a progressive, well-funded start-up environment as we pursue a United States first approach, global expansion ambitions, and the establishment of a pilot production line in Sydney.
About the role
This role will work collaboratively with an existing part-time HR qualified in a true partnership model. Together,
the two HR professionals will ensure core human resources responsibilities continue to be delivered effectively while supporting business needs, employee experience and operational consistency.
We are looking for a purpose-driven, detail-focused HR professional with the confidence and capability to support the full spectrum of human resources, both operationally and strategically, across a 12-hour working week.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will share responsibility for delivering the HR function across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the leadership team to provide practical, business-aligned HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, systems and processes to support compliance, consistency and scalability.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding and retention activities to attract and retain high-quality talent.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, conduct, capability and workplace concerns in line with legislation and company policy.
- Support performance review processes, goal setting, feedback practices and development planning to help build capability and accountability.
- Assist with remuneration, benefits and reward processes, including benchmarking, salary review preparation and non-monetary recognition initiatives.
- Identify learning and development needs and coordinate appropriate training, development and succession planning initiatives.
- Use HR data,
metrics and insights to inform decision-making and provide regular people-related reporting to management.
- Support employee engagement, culture and communication initiatives that contribute to a productive, inclusive and values-led workplace.
- Promote compliance with Australian employment legislation, workplace health and safety obligations, organisational policies and relevant governance requirements.
- Work collaboratively within the HR job-share arrangement to ensure clear handovers, continuity of service and timely follow-up of HR priorities.
Working arrangement
- There is flexibility regarding days of work and a hybrid working arrangement offered, with the aim of providing structured HR availability across the week through agreed scheduling.
- A mid-week handover meeting will ensure shared visibility of HR priorities, deliverables and any people-related matters requiring follow-up.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist Human Resources role, ideally within a growing or evolving organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, HR best practice, workplace relations and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance, employee relations, remuneration and learning and development activities.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
- A collaborative working style and willingness to operate successfully within a job share arrangement.
- Confidence working both strategically and hands-on in a lean, fast-moving environment.
