Northern Hire Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Echuca, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the quality and reliability of our equipment. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing and servicing all equipment used across our hire range, ensuring our customers receive reliable and well-maintained machinery for their projects and operations.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnosing faults and mechanical issues across our broad range of hire equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and prepare ready for use.
- Maintaining a clean workshop, ordering parts in advance to allow simultaneous operation of our equipment range.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a mechanic working with small petrol and diesel engines
- Competency in auto-electrical and hydraulic components
- Ability to refurbish equipment and components when needed including welding, painting, etc
- Proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting, operation of scan tools specific to machinery
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively




- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A current driver's licence
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics would be advantageous
