Our client is a well-known private credit fund that is continuing to evolve into a more structured, data-driven and scalable credit platform. With a clear focus on strengthening the portfolio analytics and reporting capability that supports its core funds and broader investment activities, they are looking to fill a newly created role to support this growth.

The business is investing in the systems, processes and infrastructure required to operate at an increasingly institutional standard as the platform grows. Central to this evolution is a broader shift away from manual, spreadsheet-driven processes toward a more governed, automated and scalable reporting environment. This includes enhancing portfolio monitoring, performance measurement, liquidity and risk reporting, while building the data architecture needed to support repeatable, accurate and decision-useful analysis.

This creates a unique opportunity in market for an analytically robust hire to contribute not only to reporting output, but also to the design of the models, logic and automation that underpin investments.

The Role

Our client is seeking to appoint an Investment Analyst/Associate to help build and scale the portfolio management, analytics and reporting capability across the platform. The role spans both analytical output and the infrastructure behind it, with a mandate weighted more toward building and improving than maintaining BAU processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Developing the analysis, financial models and reporting that support portfolio monitoring, performance measurement,

return forecasting and broader fund-level decision-making.
- Building and maintaining reporting across risk, performance, liquidity and portfolio exposures, as well as designing dashboards and visual reporting outputs in Power BI.
- Translating commercial questions into practical analytical solutions and carrying those through to implementation. This includes defining reporting logic, improving the consistency and accuracy of outputs and ensuring that analysis is relevant to the decisions the business is making.

Beyond reporting, the role will play an important part in building the underlying data and analytics infrastructure that supports the platform. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will help define credit-specific data requirements, validate how datasets should be structured and connected and support the automation of manual processes and recurring tasks. There will also be responsibility for reconciliation, data integrity and ensuring that portfolio reporting is robust, accurate and scalable.

This role offers a clear path from an operationally connected analytical seat into a more purely commercial and portfolio-focused role over time.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring:

- 2–4 years’ experience in portfolio analytics, data analytics, product control, treasury or a relevant middle-office environment, with a strong preference for individuals who have demonstrated an ability to build, structure and solve analytical problems, rather than simply maintain existing reporting processes.
- Strong technical capability across Power BI, Python, SQL, R and advanced Excel, including experience with data modelling, dashboard development and building practical reporting outputs for business stakeholders.
- Commercial judgement to understand the questions the business is trying to answer and translate them into clear, useful and implementable analysis.
- Comfort working across investment, finance, legal and investor relations stakeholders.
- An ability to communicate findings clearly in a regulated and deadline-driven environment.
- A strong interest in AI and an enjoyment for improving processes
- Exposure to lending, private credit or non-bank financial institutions will be viewed favourably.

This role will suit someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and intellectually curious, with the energy and ambition to grow alongside a developing platform. It is particularly well suited to a candidate who wants to move beyond pure reporting into a broader role spanning analytics, infrastructure, automation and commercial support within a growing credit business. There are greenfield elements to this position that allow the candidate to really drive their own success.
