The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Operations Controller to take ownership of a high-volume finance function within a rapidly growing Australian business.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in managing daily financial operations while helping improve systems, reporting and processes across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys pace, accountability and finding better ways of doing things.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

- Own daily settlements, including allocation and distribution of funds
- Manage trust and bank reconciliations
- Prepare management reporting, cash flow and operational KPIs
- Develop unit costing and support cost efficiency initiatives
- Drive automation and process improvements across finance




- Manage recovery invoicing and accounts receivable
- Oversee accounts payable and payment runs
- Provide financial analysis and operational support to the CFO
- Identify opportunities to improve controls, workflows and reporting
- Work closely with the CFO and wider executive leadership team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- 5+ years' experience across finance operations, trust accounting, banking or high-volume transactional finance
- Strong experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to FP&A; and management reporting
- Experience improving or automating finance systems and processes
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confidence working in a regulated or trust-based workplace
- A proactive approach to process improvement
- CA/CPA qualification is desirable but not essential
