Stowaway Bar is a cocktail bar and restaurant in Freshwater. Harry Gatos is a Pan-Asian bar and diner, just downstairs from Stowaway. Same crew, same standards, very different energy — one's a coastal local's living room, the others a loud night out that occasionally involves karaoke and K-BBQ. We're independent, family-run, and about as far from a corporate venue group as you can get.
Key responsibilities
- Looking after tables, taking orders, running food and drinks
- Making cocktails and pouring beers (full training provided if you're current to it)
- Setting up, closing down, and keeping your section sharp
- Knowing the menu well enough to have an opinion on it
- Being the reason someone books a table again
About you
- A current NSW RSA
- Weekend and evening availability — that's when we're busiest
- Full working rights in Australia
- Live somewhere you can actually get home from after a late shift on the Northern Beaches
- Warm with strangers, quick on your feet, and you actually like people at 10pm on a Saturday
- Proper training across cocktails, wine, and service
