Senior Pharmacist - Women's & Children's

- Location: Joan Kirner Women's & Children's Hospital, Sunshine Hospital
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed term
- Salary: Grade 3 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Western Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Grade 3 Senior Pharmacist - Women's and Children's Services to provide senior clinical leadership across our Women's and Children's Services division.

This is an exciting prospect for a pharmacist who is ready to step into a leadership role where you can influence clinical practice, medication safety, service quality and the development of our pharmacy workforce across a diverse range of women's and paediatric services.

As the Senior Pharmacist - Women's and Children's Services, you will provide expert clinical leadership to support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality medication management across the Division. This is an exciting opportunity to influence clinical practice, lead service development and governance initiatives, mentor pharmacists, and contribute to education and research within one of Victoria's fastest-growing health services.

Key responsibilities:

This role will:

- Provide senior clinical leadership across Women's and Children's pharmacy services.
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance frameworks, standards and processes that support safe and consistent medication management.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and operational leaders to strengthen multidisciplinary care.
- Provide leadership, supervision, professional guidance and performance development for pharmacists working across Women's and Children's Services.
- Contribute to the education and development of pharmacists, students and the broader multidisciplinary team.

About you:

This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative pharmacy leadership team committed to delivering contemporary clinical pharmacy practice and developing innovative approaches to meet the needs of our diverse Western Health community.

We are looking for an experienced pharmacist who brings:





- At least five years' hospital clinical pharmacy experience across diverse clinical settings.
- Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience, ideally within women's, paediatric or neonatal services.
- Solid understanding of medication safety, clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, education and professional development.
- Experience managing or supervising hospital pharmacy staff (desirable).

Caroline Springs Community Health Centre and Grant Lodge Residential Aged Care in Bacchus Marsh. Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women's prison located in Ravenhall.
