We are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to deliver English language and integration training to adult learners through the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP).

Salary range aligns to the current MEA: $91.42 - $98.77 per hour (dependent on qualifications & experience).

About the role

As a Teacher - AMEP at Box Hill Institute, you will play a vital role in supporting adult learners to build their English language skills and confidently engage in life in Australia. Working within the Foundation Education College,



you'll be part of a collaborative AMEP team delivering high-quality training across our campuses. This casual opportunity offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact, with reporting lines to the Site Manager.

What you'll do:

- Deliver high-quality, engaging training in English language and integration topics within the EAL framework
- Monitor, evaluate and assess student progress in English language development and qualification achievement
- Prepare structured lesson plans aligned to individual student learning needs and pathway goals
- Ensure compliance with AMEP, SEE and Box Hill Institute requirements, including accurate attendance recording
- Provide pathway advice to support students into further study or employment

About You:

You are a passionate educator who thrives on supporting diverse learners and creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.

- You demonstrate robust cultural awareness and sensitivity to learners from diverse and sometimes complex backgrounds
- You bring real-world experience into the classroom, enriching learning with practical insights
- You have a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to connect theory with applied learning
- You are committed to helping students build confidence and achieve their personal and skilled goals
- Alignment with a child-safe, inclusive and values-based workplace
- Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.

Qualifications and experience:

- A four-year Bachelor of Education, with TESOL as a method or an undergraduate bachelor degree plus a postgraduate TESOL qualification which includes a supervised teaching practicum
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
- Current and sound experience in the relevant field
